Recently we asked our staff to share their stories and experiences as adult learners. Not only does the B.A. in General Studies staff work hard to understand the needs and goals of our students, but many of them have learned from their own experience what it means to be an adult going back t o school. These experiences help our staff provide a rewarding and fulfilling college experience for our adult students, and why they are passionate about lifelong learning. Elena is a wonderful example of someone who not only went back to school as an adult, but thrived as an adult learner. The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies degree program is a nontraditional approach to obtaining a fully accredited bachelor of arts degree. Designed for the mature adult who has family and career responsibilities and who may live at a distance from campus, the program combines sound academic principles with advances in technology to provide ways to achieve degree completion.
